Bad End AU w/Batsy
[ This room. Its four walls. Burned into his brain forever. He would always be able to picture every blemish on the wall, every crack in the floor, the sound the buzzing lights above made, with perfect accuracy if he could ever escape.
But he won't.
The technology is too advanced. Cameras trained on him every moment. Even barring that, there's a band around his ankle, made to track him down quickly and easily.
He gets an hour or so of outside time per day. Carefully monitored. Escorted.
Even if he were able to somehow get past every camera, every guard, he'd be hopeless.
He's much too large now to move very quickly.
The bed creaks beneath him, complaining to nobody. He looks down at his burden, his entire purpose, stretching out obscenely in front of him. Feels the movements of the life within. Twins. Large and healthy. Sucking the energy from him every day.
Helping keep him weighed down and helpless.
The powers that be were very pleased when he got impregnated so quickly. Excellent. He'd probably be very productive. In a month or so when he gave birth, they'd encourage his mate to get started on the next batch. He was young. Fertile. Ideal.
He just wants to die. ]

But Junpei's been a wrench in his life and his thoughts. An "ideal vessel" for offspring, they'd called him. But Rex knows what that means - he's just a baby maker. One plucked off the streets for him to use until whatever fucker in the clouds decides to take pity on him and put him out of his misery. He's fine with that part, at least. Having something that's his that can never leave him, that he's free to fondle and fuck as he pleases. Anyone's guess which of them will die first - Junpei once some baby sucks the last bit out of life out of him or Rex if some fucker gets lucky on the battlefield.
He doesn't worry about the latter.
But Junpei's been on his mind most of the day. He'd seen a pregnant woman earlier waddling happily along with another solider, and it occurred to him it's been a few days since he last stopped in. So he's making his way along a familiar path now, one hand in his pocket and the other holding a glass bottle of soda he takes a long swing of.
There's no greeting when he comes into the room, only the sound of the door closing and a series of locks clicking into place as he makes his way towards the bed. He drops onto the space at one end of it, taking a long drink from his bottle as he offers his free arm out to Junpei expectantly. )
Take those off for me. ( He orders expectantly, dark eyes flicking to the rows of bandages on his arm. A battle wound that should be healed now in the few hours that have passed. Junpei sits here all day, least he can do is make himself useful. )

That seemed so long ago now. Since then he'd tried any number of things, had tried reasoning. Had tried begging. It had all been for naught. He'd been taken, and bred, and now this man's spawn stirred in his belly, as if they can sense their sire is nearby. A foot in his ribs makes him gasp in slight discomfort, but he doesn't dare refuse the order from Rex. It never goes well. The once defiant teenager's spark has been snuffed out, and he sets to work removing the bandages with his delicate fingers. It's a task he knows very well, having done it many times over the months.
He doesn't speak, barely breathes, concentrating on the work with dull eyes. ]

It's satisfying when the other starts to undo his bandages without any complaint, and he hums his approval as he takes another drink. ) You'd make a cute wife if you weren't here. ( He notes, one brow lifting as his own dark eyes watch those fingers work. Junpei is cute, he'll give him that much, but this place ruined him, Rex thinks. He ruined him. )
Taking care of your husband, all barefoot and pregnant.
( Another drink and he draws his now unbandaged arm back to take the glass bottle and offer it out to the other. Months ago, he never would have taken the risk. Glass is such a pain in the ass to dig out of wounds. But now? He isn't worried. )

[ It’s said almost robotically as he shakes his head at the offer of soda. There had been a time when he craved the indulgences of the outside world. Now he knew tasting them would just bring more longing. He’d stick to the water they gave him.
As for what he’d wanted to be ... well, he hadn’t exactly been a big dreamer. But his plans for the future had certainly not included being captive livestock.
The task done he’ll return his arms to lay primly across his lap as he stares at the floor. Sometimes he hopes if he’s dull enough Rex will just leave him alone for longer. After all, it’s not as if he can put more children into him currently.
But in the back of his mind is a voice saying he’s being much too optimistic. ]

I didn't want to be a soldier, but here we are. Fucking sucks, right? ( He laughs again, shorter this time as he glances over at Junpei to drag his eyes over his form. He thinks sometimes he should feel bad about this whole situation, what's become of Junpei, but those feelings never last. Junpei's just as fucked as he is, the only difference is it'll probably be a baby that does him in instead of some violent confrontation. He's not sure who is luckier in that regard.
Still, he does stretch one arm towards the other expectantly. ) Come here. ( There's a sharp, expectant twitch of his fingers. Don't make him ask twice, Junpei. )
