JUNPEI YOSHINO
// at slow speed - we all seem - focused //
γ» Boss that doesn't pay him.
γ» Crush that doesn't love him.
γ» Captivates and frustrates in equal measure.
γ» Only knows how to make coffee the way he likes it.
γ» Bought a journal to secretly keep the notes he leaves him written in Japanese.
γ» One of the first to get in when he wasn't paying attention.
γ» Gives him brain tingles when he contacts him via mind link.
γ» The same journal that has the notes from House has the pressed strawflower he gave him at the castle dinner.
γ» Truly believes he is the only human Mahito does not hate. Feels special because of this.
γ» Still the person he trusts most implicitly in Rubi.
γ» Has instructed Mavis to deliver his corpse to him to consume should he be refused resurrection for disloyalty to the Duchess. Will likely tell others the same in the future.
γ» Intimacy study buddy.
γ» Tends to be less abrasive with him compared to others.
γ» Has not really been able to stop thinking about how big his dick is since he saw it.
γ» Frustrating!
γ» Confusing!
γ» WHY???
γ» A puzzle with pieces that make no sense even when placed together.
γ» While he's envious of what John has (House's love), he doesn't hold malice towards him. Junpei doesn't think he himself deserves it, so there's no reason for that.
γ» He doesn't understand her perspective at all.
γ» But he wants her to be okay.
γ» Now drinks vodka in secret.
γ» Just a little.
γ» Just enough to remember the taste of him.
γ» But it's not really the same.
γ» Holds the potential to bring out the worst in him under the right circumstances.
Junpei was raised primarily by his mother, his father having left when he was a child. He was a quiet but bright boy with a passion for movies, especially those in the horror genre.
When he started a film club in high school, a group of bullies came to force him and his friends to give up the room. When Junpei showed defiance, he became a target for frequent, violent bullying at their hands. His friends abandoned him. Teachers ignored the attacks. He became bitter and cynical towards humanity, deciding his ideal would be indifference rather than love or hate.
One day while in a theater he saw three of his tormentors get turned into horrific, twisted abominations by a mysterious man covered in stitches. He chased after the man, following him into an alley. When the man asked if those he'd killed had been dear to Junpei, the boy was filled with anger. He asked the man to show him how he could also destroy with a touch.
Junpei's monster form is that of a kraken, although one could be forgiven if at first upon seeing him they question if he's a living being at all or an eight foot tall ball of seaweed. Most of the time, when at rest or simply trying to remain inconspicuous, his entire face and most of his body is obscured by a tangle of constantly writhing tentacles in a dull brown color. When he is on the hunt, however, the color changes to a brilliant neon blue with streaks of yellow in a way reminiscent of his own jellyfish shikigami (example). Only once the curtain of tentacles rises can it be seen that he does indeed have a face - although it's being charitable to call it such. There is a single large, unblinking eye on his head, but it is otherwise featureless, the skin smooth and matching whatever color his tentacles are at the moment. One will not find a mouth until they travel midway down the still vaguely humanoid body of the creature, around where his stomach would have been were he still a human being. The mouth resembles more of a gaping hole filled with dagger-like teeth than what most would consider an actual mouth.
In spite of what his outward appearances might suggest when he's at rest, he can move blindingly swiftly, the longer tentacles being able to shoot out several feet in front of him and pull him forward on land and propel him even quicker when in water. Having so many prehensile limbs also makes it incredibly easy to quickly grab objects and people and bring them to himself, the grip on the thicker tentacles being strong enough to even subdue a creature the size of a rhinoceros when working together. Considering he has an insatiable appetite in this form, this ability is often executed to pull prey to their end. Several of these tentacles also function as a hectocotylus, or 'mating arm', which if in the proper mood he will attempt to use to inseminate whatever orifice he can find that will accommodate them.
The creature carries the seed of disdain Junpei has for humanity, blossoming into a beast that simply takes what it wants and has no care for the effects on others, living a purely animalistic existence. This is perhaps the ultimate realization of what Mahito advised him - that there is no meaning in life, it just is, and nothing should stop him from doing whatever his emotions desire.
